Gas Safe Register is the only official gas registration body of gas businesses and engineers in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. By law all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register.
Being approved by gas safe proves that the gas engineer you have chosen to go with is registered to work safely and legally on all gas appliances. Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the only gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and in Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010.
A Gas Safety Certificate is also called a Landlord’s Gas Safety Record or a CP12. In accordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, all rental accommodations in the UK are legally required to get a Gas Safety Certificate.
It is only given when a Gas Safe Registered Engineer deems all present gas appliances to be working safely and properly. The Gas Safety Certificate expires after one year, which requires landlords to have their gas appliances checked annually. Contact Angel Assist to book in for a gas safety certificate.
